I remembered an incident which happened last year this time around in Lancaster, quite a scary thing for me indeed. I haven’t told anyone except for my seniors and Nana because I met them the very next day! well this is what happened, I was walking from Central back to my house when this other guy with his friend started talking to me. He was African I believe. I haven’t even seen him before.
So we just talked (awkwardly!) until we reached the pendle walkaway until one point he said that he has been looking at me for a long time! He said he saw me at the learning zone, the library, and just on campus in general and i caught his attention. He said that he was always wondering ‘who is this girl.’ He told me that he finally got the courage to talk to me because he will be graduating soon and he just wanted to take a chance. I was so stunned and his friend was just laughing away at him. He was kind of nervous at that time and he said that this is the first time he actually came up to someone because he really wanted to know me (that freaked the hell outta me!).
He was very persistent though. He kept asking for my number but I said no. He asked me to describe what sort of guys that I am into but I said I had a boyfriend already in London (LOL). He asked me what places I hung out at and he would want to buy me a drink and he said to invite my friends aswell in case i am afraid or i feel awkward but i was just like NO NO and NO. He was so confused because he said that he just wanted to hang out and get to know me that is all. I tried to evade him for more than an hour but he wouldn’t back down. i remembered him saying please so many times and i finally said that my boyfriend is very protective of me and it would upset him if i were to communicate with another man. He finally cleared my path after that.
Secondly, this other guy added me on facebook. Someone from Lancaster. So, i accepted thinking that it was a classmate or something. It turned out to be some guy doing his masters wanting to get to know me. I deleted that guy immediately and made my facebook fully private.
Its such a scary world out there people! Girls beware! Lock your facebook profiles and don’t talk to strangers. Its dangerous.
