I tweeted about learning about the story of the wind and the sun. This story was told by my ethics lecturer. So here is the story.  Enjoy.

One day, there is a man walking down a street. The sun and the wind took a bet to see which one of them can make the man take of his jacket first.  The wind started of the challenge and blew as hard as it could causing the man on the street to hold on to his jacket. The wind blew even harder the second time and the man just tugged harder on to his jacket. As we can see, the wind has failed.

It was now the sun’s turn to undertake the challenge. The sun turned up its heat and the man on the street started to sweat. The sun emitted even more heat which eventually caused the man to take off his jacket! Mission accomplished!

The moral of the story here is that if an individual is forced to do something they will only resist but when encouraged, they might just follow accordingly.  And I truly believe in that.
